These Terms & Conditions apply to your use of my website and to any first aid training courses or services booked with First Aid by Katie ("I", "me", "my"). By booking a course or using my website, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

About Me
First Aid by Katie provides first aid training for individuals, businesses and organisations throughout the UK.

Services
I provide a range of first aid training courses, including but not limited to:

  • Emergency First Aid at Work

  • First Aid at Work

  • Emergency Paediatric First Aid

  • Basic Life Support

  • Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Training

  • Bespoke first aid training and awareness sessions

  • Requalification First aid at work

  • Anaphylaxis training

Course content, duration and pricing are detailed on my website or within individual quotations. I reserve the right to amend course content where necessary to reflect current legislation, Resuscitation Council UK guidance, awarding organisation requirements or best practice.

Bookings and Payment
A booking is confirmed once payment has been received in full, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
For business clients, payment terms will be stated on the quotation or invoice.
Where payment by instalments has been agreed, all payments must be made on the agreed dates.
Failure to make payment may result in your booking being cancelled.

Attendance and Certification
Learners are expected to attend the full duration of their course and actively participate in both practical and theoretical sessions.

Where a course leads to certification, certificates will only be issued where the learner has:

  • Attended the required training.

  • Successfully met the assessment criteria.

  • Completed any required paperwork.

Attendance alone does not guarantee certification.

Fitness to Participate
Many first aid courses involve practical activities including CPR, casualty management and simulated emergency scenarios.

Participants should ensure they are physically able to take part in these practical elements. If you have a medical condition, injury, pregnancy or disability that may affect your participation, please let me know before your course so that reasonable adjustments can be considered where possible.

Your Responsibilities
You agree to:

  • Provide accurate booking information.

  • Treat other learners, instructors and venue staff with courtesy and respect.

  • Follow all health and safety instructions during training.

  • Use training equipment safely and appropriately.

Anyone displaying abusive, threatening, discriminatory or disruptive behaviour may be asked to leave the course without refund.

Intellectual Property
All course manuals, presentations, handouts, videos, assessments, training materials and website content remain my intellectual property unless otherwise stated.

These materials are supplied for your personal learning only and must not be copied, reproduced, distributed, uploaded online or used to deliver training without my prior written permission.

Course Changes and Cancellation
Occasionally, courses may need to be postponed or cancelled due to circumstances beyond my reasonable control, including illness, severe weather, venue issues or other unforeseen events.

Where this happens, I will offer either:

  • An alternative course date; or

  • A full refund of any fees paid for the cancelled course.

I cannot accept responsibility for any additional costs incurred by delegates, including travel, accommodation or loss of earnings.

Website
Whilst every effort is made to ensure information on my website is accurate and up to date, I reserve the right to amend course information, pricing and website content at any time.

Privacy
Any personal information collected during bookings will be handled in accordance with my Privacy Policy and applicable UK data protection legislation.

Changes to These Terms
I reserve the right to amend these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The version published on my website at the time of booking will apply to your purchase.
