ABOUT KATIE

First Aid by Katie is led by Katie Finch, a Sussex-based first aid instructor with over a decade of professional experience and a passion for helping people gain the confidence to act in an emergency.

Before retraining in emergency healthcare, Katie built a successful career across a variety of industries, including roles within the live entertainment sector at organisations such as Chichester Festival Theatre, Birmingham Repertory Theatre, Birmingham Hippodrome, and the London Palladium. This experience gave her a strong understanding of the challenges faced by busy workplaces and diverse teams.

Katie currently works frontline as an NHS paramedic, bringing real-world emergency medical experience into every course she teaches. She combines this practical expertise with an approachable, engaging teaching style to deliver high-quality first aid training for businesses, organisations, schools, community groups and individuals.

Katie delivers accredited courses which include Emergency First Aid at Work, First Aid at Work, Paediatric First Aid, Emergency Paediatric First Aid,  Anaphylaxis Training, AED Training, and bespoke courses tailored to the specific needs of your organisation.

At First Aid by Katie, the belief is simple: first aid training should do more than meet a legal requirement. It should give people the knowledge, skills, and confidence to respond effectively when it matters most. Every course is fun, interactive, practical, and designed to ensure learners leave feeling capable, prepared, and empowered.

All courses are accredited by SkillBase First Aid and meet current Health and Safety Executive (HSE) requirements, OFSTED requirements and follow ups to date Resusitation council guidelines.
